Dig Dug - Parts Stripped

I spent a portion of Saturday evening stripping the parts out of the Dig Dug cabinet. There are essentially two reasons for doing so: 1. You’ll see that the cabinet is filthy inside and 2. I don’t want anything to get in the way when I attempt to repair the chipped off corner. Below are [...]

Dig Dug - Original Flyers

The plan for tonight this week is to start stripping the Dig Dug cabinet of it’s parts and giving it a thorough cleaning. In the meantime, here are a couple scans of the original Dig Dug marketing flyer.

Omega Race - New Control Panel

The control panel on the Omega Race cabinet was in pretty rough shape. Several of the bolts were missing, leaving holes in the panel and a larger section of the lower left hand corner was torn off.

Omega Race - New Bezel, Working Pictures

One of the problems with both cabinets was the condition of many of the parts. Most were in decent shape for a 26 year old game, but others needed some work. One of those was the monitor bezel that covers the monitor. The original bezel had one of the “ears” torn off where it screwed [...]

Track & Field - New Buttons Installed

Since it’s 8 degrees outside with a wind chill of 15 below, I decided tonight would be a good night to stay inside and do some work on one of the machines. Having just gotten over a cold and sore throat, I really wasn’t in the mood to tackle all of the dust in the [...]

Dig Dug Photos

As promised, here are a few pictures of the Dig Dug cabinet in it’s present state:

Dig Dug Enters The Mix

I had the opportunity to add another game to the “arcade”. Obviously I jumped at the chance. The new addition….Dig Dug. This cabinet is probably in the least desireable shape of the 3 cabinets I own. As always, I will be setting up a dedicated page on this site detailing the restoration and work done [...]

Omega Race - It Lives!

After 2+ years of trying, the Omega Race arcade game lives! I received the needed parts in the mail over the weekend and successfully fired it up yesterday. I may be able to grab some pictures tonight after a little cleanup. I have parts scattered all over the work room.

Omega Race - Parts Swapped

I’ve finally gotten around to swapping all of the parts from the new cabinet to the original cabinet. Here are a couple of photos of my progress:

Track & Field Marketing Flyers

I’ve ordered and received new buttons and leaf switches for this game. Unfortunately, Omega Race is taking up most of my workbench space so their won’t be much work until that project progresses a bit. In the meantime, here are some scans of the original marketing flyer for this game:
