Restoring the classics…

I’ll have a post tomorrow or Wednesday concerning a new addition to the game room. Any guesses? If you already know, your guess doesn’t count!
The basement is progressing nicely. I finished framing the exterior walls and am now framing the lone interior wall that runs along a portion of the beam. I’ve decided that the bar is not going to fit well in the area I had planned, so I’ll post the updated plan when I get a chance. If things go well and I get some free time this weekend, it should be on to wiring and insulation. Pictures of the progress will be coming in the next few days.
E-mail Lost
Jul 21st
I had a site reader e-mail me some questions over the weekend about Omega Race. Somehow, the e-mail got deleted before I had a chance to respond. If you happen to read this, please send your e-mail again.
A Brief Update
Jul 15th
There is not a whole lot taking place on the restoration front right now. I simply don’t have time. Although the All American Football cabinet still needs new t-molding, I’m tempted to dive into a full blown restoration of either Donkey Kong or Track & Field. Right now, I’m leaning towards the Track & Field restoration.
I’m also working on acquiring another non-working game. I haven’t committed yet, but the price is right and it’s not too far away. The only problem is working out the details of a pickup as my calendar is pretty full for the next few weeks and I’m not sure how long the current owner would be willing to hold onto it for me.
For those that are interested, there haven’t been too many updates to the site as I recently attending a week long conference in Florida and just returned Sunday from a week long vacation in South Carolina. More >
Man’s Best Friend
May 20th
If you only come to this website to read about classic arcade restorations, you’ll want to skip this post. I’m going to do something that is cliche of every personal website / blog and write a bit about my dog, Lady. We picked up Lady about 9 years ago from the local animal shelter. I knew immediately that she was the dog for us. As we walked past the cages, all of the other dogs would bark, jump up on the cage and display outward signs that they were too hyper to have around small children. Not Lady, she just sat there and looked up at us with her big brown eyes as to say “I’m the dog for you”. We picked her up the next day and took here home.
All About Me

By popular request, I finally developed an “About Me” page. Click on About in the menu above. Warning, this page is probably not safe for work as you might find yourself asleep at your desk before reaching the end. If sleeping on the job is allowed at your place of employment, have at it.
